
As the premier sporting club in the region it is our responsibility to use the profile of Worcester Warriors players, stadium, resources and brand to tackle a whole range of societal issues. Our work is based around five key themes:

• Club and Coach Education
• Social Inclusion
• Education
These programmes are developed and tailored in partnership with a number of both private and public sector funding organisations and supported by more than just financial means.
The key to the success of the programmes is the link to professional game. We integrate the Warriors stars, stadium and matchdays with many of our community schemes of work.

Warriors Community Team
The Community Team is made up of Tom Ryder, Community Manager, whos role is to develop the clubs involvement within the community developing links with key partners such as npower, the Hereford and Worcester Sports Partnership and the Rugby Football Union and ensuring that club can utilise its profile to impact on a whole range of societal issues.
Steve Joslin who is a new full time appointment as Community Rugby Coach delivers an extensive range of TAG coaching sessions throughout the region supporting PE in schools and developing a buzz around rugby and the Warriors. In addition to this Steve will be coordinating and delivering the Warriors Award winning Inclusive Rugby Programme to children with physical and learning difficulties.
Simon Lane has now joined the team as a Community Rugby Coach (supported by The Hereford and Worcester Sports Partnership and the RFU). Simon has the specific remit of delivering a contact rugby programme to secondary schools and clubs with a focus on ensuring an increasing participation and developing school club links maximizing the impact of the warriors programme.
Lee Fortey who played for the Warriors in the Premiership until Injury stopped his career is working closely with the Community Team on a part time basis to deliver club and coach education sessions as well as coachiong on some of the Warriors delivery projects and Supporting the Delivery of the Warriors Premier Rugby Academy Camps. Lee is twin brother of current Warriors star Chris Fortey and has recently completed his RFU L3 coaching qualification.

Warriors Study Centre and Playing for Success Programme
Glynn Lodge is the Warriors Playing for Success Manager as well as Managing the use of the state of the art Warriors Study Centre. Glynn works closely with Tom Ryder, Warriors Community Manager in the strategic development of the centre ensuring that the education pillar of activity is at the forefront of the Warriors Community work.
Laura Bolon is the newest recruit to the Warriors Study Centre and Warriors Community Team fulfilling a crucial role in the teaching of the PfS programme, design and development of the curriculum as well as planning opportunities for day time provision.
Tracey Appleton performs a vital role in the operations of the Warriors Study Centre ensuring there is strong communication with all of the centres clients and partner schools. In addition to this Tracey coordinates the renowned graduation events as well as ensuring the centre operates smoothly.
Warriors in the Community Initiatives
The Warriors Allstarzz also work closely with our community team to deliver Sports Dance projects to the schools in the West Midlands. An extended project in association with eight local authorities and the Hereford and Worcester Sports Partnership is planned to raise the profile of this alternate sport and encourage more young people to participate in active lifestyles.
