| Scrum half Runciman moved to Warriors from Gloucester in 2005 and made his Premiership debut for the club against Newcastle Falcons, capping his display with a first league try.
The hot prospect started the opening Guinness Premiership game of last campaign against Bristol and has since battled with Matt Powell and Ryan Powell for the starting number nine shirt. He also started when Warriors travelled to the Memorial Stadium in April 2007.
Cheltenham-born Runciman, who attended Cheltenham Bournside School and Sixth Form College, has enjoyed international rugby success at England U16, U18s and U21 level. He was also a member of the RFU Junior National Academy and younger brother Will is currently on the Academy books at Sixways.
Runciman signed a new contract with Warriors in March 2007 that will see him remain at the club until the summer of 2009.
