| Electric wing Marcel Garvey enjoyed a stunning return to top form during the 2007/08 season and will be aiming to put Guinness Premiership defences to the sword again in the next campaign.
Garvey started his career at Gloucester, where he made a staggering start to life with hat-trick of tries against Bristol. He later moved up the M5 in search of a new start and has impressed Mike Ruddock with his new found hunger this campaign.
The wing has represented England A and England U21, being an integral part of the U21 World Cup team in 2004. He is also a member of the England Sevens set-up.
Gavey signed a new two-year deal in the spring of 2008 to commit his future to Warriors until 2010 to the delight of Director of Rugby Mike Ruddock.
"Marcel is a proven finisher who has rediscovered some of his best form this season,” he said. "Given our desire to play open and attacking rugby it is important to have top class finishers and pace and Marcel has these qualities.
"Other clubs were interested in securing Marcel’s services, but he believes in what we are trying to achieve here at Warriors and wants to be part of that journey.”
Garvey believes there has never been a better time to be a Warrior with what is planned for the future of the club – both on and off the field.
"It’s definitely an exciting time to be at Warriors with a positive future to look forward to,” he said. "Mike Ruddock has brought in world class players like Rico Gear and we also have Chris Latham to come, he is one of the best players in the world.
"I know it has not gone to plan on the field this year but I know it is only onwards and upwards from now on. The style of rugby suits my game and I look forward to being a big part of the future.
"Off the field it is fantastic to see what is happening to the entire complex. We aim to be the best in Europe with the very best stadium. I can’t wait to play out there when it is all finished."
